Wilderness Survival Training Weekend focuses on the basic concepts and skills of wilderness survival. In this extended weekend training, we cover the important application of shelter in survival; how to filter and purify water in the field; emergency one – match fire techniques; and, learn to identify useful wild edible plants.
Men, women, novice and experienced adults and teens 16 and older with an inquiring mind and a heart for the outdoors may participate. No prior physical conditioning is required.
Mark provides you with ‘hands-on’ , personalized attention. We offer weekend survival training in northern California at our main school location near the city of Mt. Shasta. Training is also available in Oregon, and now in Texas. Perfect for individuals, couples, or groups. Our weekend mini camp training is a must for anyone considering spending time in the back country or is interested in learning how to cope if involved in a natural disaster event.
Primitive Cooking Internship
We are inviting the right person who’s passion is cooking! Not just any cooking, but willing to learn and develop skills in primitive outdoor cooking techniques, while supporting our seasonal volunteer staff.
This is a volunteer position, not a paid one.
An excellent opportunity to gain first hand experiential experience in the art of outdoor cookery. This position is perfect for the individual who is considering outdoor recreation as a career.
Demanding and rewarding; you must have a strong passion for the outdoors, a solid work ethic; these are the main ingredients for this adventure stew.
