Aboriginal Path – a scouts way

Aboriginal Path – a scouts way.

“The Way of the Scout”
“To the scout, the wilderness had to be his home. He had to live in perfect balance and harmony with creation and follow its laws. From his smokeless fires to his invisible shelters, everything had to blend into the flow of life so that there was no disruption in that flow.”

“His skill had to keep him safe and secure in all elements and landscapes, where he would need for nothing. His self-sufficiency would give him the ultimate freedom to go as long and as far as he needed, without depending on any thing but the earth. Until the scout attained and exceeded this level of skill and ease of living, he would stand out on the land and become a liability. Classic survival skills were not enough; they were just the beginning of that perfection and ultimate invisibility.” an excerpt from the book; “The Way of the Scout” by Tom brown Jr.

Aboriginal Path Course Curriculum

Application of psychology in self-defense

An important aspect of self-defense is awareness, psychology, and role playing. Our goal in this course is to develop in you the necessary skills to keep your assailant confused, bewildered, and mentally unable to continue their aggression based on the psychological techniques of the Apache scout.

Physical Self Defense Application

The demanding psychical regimes of this course will include training in

  • Russian Systema
  • Breath and Body Control
  • Lance and Short Stick
  • Modern Arnis
  • Strength and Agility
  • Balance and Movement

The path of the Aboriginal scout teaches us in its ancient wisdom to be the peacemaker, “the last to pick up the lance”, (use physical violence), he/she always has a host of other skills at his disposal before resorting to violence.

The demanding attention to self-defense in this course is not to induce conflict, rather to build personal discipline and self confidence. The Aboriginal Path teaches to be the protector of the tribe, the people, the children, and the earth.  We apply skills of wisdom, tolerance, honor, truth, and respect.  Peace is the way of the Aboriginal Path.

Survival Skills of the Apache Scout

The psychological, mental, and physical skills of survival are paramount to the success of the scout.
Over hundreds of years, the scouts developed amazing survival and observation skills that allowed the scout to live and thrive invisibly in any hostile environment.
We will practice and apply these fundamental skills in this course.

Staff work

Some of the best scouts I know are women, much to the chagrin of many a male special OPS. So lady’s grab a friend and come ready to count coup!
This camp will be absolutely fun and an adventure you will want to do over again and again.
Attendees do not have to have any prior martial art training, and there are no other camp prerequisites for 2010.
