Wilderness Immersion Adult Survival Training CA – 28 days

Wilderness Immersion is an extensive, 28-day adult survival-training program featuring, primitive and survival skills, wilderness navigation and orientation, hiking and scouting, fundamentals of tracking and nature awareness, outdoor cooking, and personal security.

Spending a month in the rugged mountains of northern California, this survival adventure will empower you with confidence, self-reliance, awareness, and develop a deep connection and respect for nature and the outdoors.

A list of the practical skills and applications for wilderness immersion training are:

  • survival shelters – modern and primitive
  • water – locate, treatment and filtering techniques
  • fire – modern and primitive friction fire
  • wild food – plant, insect, and animal
  • wild plant – medicinal and utilitarian
  • navigation – natural orientation
  • tracking and nature observation
  • the hunt – controlled stillness and movement, stalking and camouflage
  • trapping methods – snares and deadfalls
  • conservation – practices and application with accreditation

Through this hands-on, month long experiential survival training, you will develop unique and valuable practical skills that will help you face new adventures and experiences with courage, determination, confidence, and strength of character.  You can apply these modern and primitive survival skills and valuable instruction in future studies and livelihoods.  This is the richest, most challenging and rewarding wilderness adventure, you will embark on.

  • Eligible Students: 18 years of age and above – enrollment minimum 2 – maximum 8
  • Requirements: health practitioner’s release  Contact us for an application form prior to purchasing camp.
  • Duration: 28 days
  • Schedule: begins on a Sunday 4:00 pm – ends on a Saturday at 12:00 pm (noon)
  • Accommodations: primitive outdoor camping
  • Meals: included
  • Location: 4 hours north of San Francisco Bay area, in the northern California mountains at over 6000 feet
  • Transport: free shuttle service from Medford, Oregon airport, Dunsmuir, CA train station and Weed, CA Greyhound bus station
