Winter Outdoor Survival Training Camp
L.O.S.T (Lifesong Outdoor Survival Training) in the winter snows of northern California. You never believe it will happen, but when it does, you want to be prepared and knowledgeable. Winter makes for more extreme conditions and requires stamina and determination for dealing with basic survival skills; wilderness navigation; locating wild edibles and running water; and, avoiding dehydration and hypothermia.
Extreme conditions call for more challenge and awareness to develop your winter bushcraft abilities. Mark’s hands-on approach to education develops your physical and mental acuity building a firm foundation in survival training. Winter training addresses the most important fundamentals for outdoor survival in snow country.

- Eligible Students: Minimum age 16 with parental consent – enrollment maximum 12
- Requirements: none
- Duration: 6 days 5 nights
- Schedule: begins on Sunday at 4:00 pm – ends on Friday at 12:00 pm (noon)
- Location: just north of MT Shasta, California nestled within the rugged crags of ancient limestone cliffs
- Accommodations: primitive outdoor camping and a cozy community tent and teepee with wood heat for indoor class time
- Meals: included
- Equipment: a registration packet will be supplied after enrollment; tent and sleeping pad rentals are available for $45
- Transport: Shuttle service from Medford, Oregon airport $80; Dunsmuir, CA train station $55; and, Weed, CA Greyhound bus station free.
