Lifesong Wilderness Adventures founded by Mark Wienert in 1994. Mark has taught professionally for over 22 years with an emphasis in the art of wilderness survival, bushcraft, nature awareness, and tracking.
Wienert's approach to wilderness survival education is extremely effective. Mark developed the curriculum to make it one of the most empowering training available. More specifically, he uses the perfect blend of hands-on exponential experience to raise each client's skill level dramatically.
Enough cannot be said about the outstanding qualities exhibited by Lifesong volunteer staff. Chosen for their dedication, encouragement, support and leadership abilities, we are proud to present them to you.

Roberta Kellis ~ Instructor
Roberta Kellis is our lead Oregon Survival School Staff Member .
A long time student with us, Roberta's attention to detail, hands-on experience, and excellent communication skills provides excellent instruction for our students.
In 2008, I decided to venture out with my husband, Gary, to experience his annual elk-hunting trip. With no confidence in my abilities and completely fearful of the woods, I felt almost paralyzed to leave the camp without my husband.
I decided to transform that fear. I began training with my husband and Lifesong Wilderness Adventures - tracking, edible plants, fire craft, and trapping. Armed with skills learned and building confidence, the world has opened up for me, I'm no longer afraid, ready to take on whatever life presents. It’s time to share that with others and help them to experience what they, too, might be missing. ~Roberta Kellis
All volunteers come with a sense of humor, enthusiasm, vitality, spirit of adventure, and of course, great survival training from Lifesong. Our volunteers make the extra effort to support our students. We appreciate them and their dedication.
