More about Mark Wienert
Mark’s roots began on the Oregon Coast. Through many adventures, he made his way to the foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountains of California where his inspiration for Life Song began in 1994.
Yosemite was his back yard in those days; the eastern Sierra, a short drive in the summer. His summers were spent backpacking and mountaineering, swimming the rushing river waters; and, winters skiing the back-country as often as possible. The outdoors filled with nature’s solitude was and still is his source for personal schooling.
At fifteen, Mark traveled to Canada, where he heard his first Wolf howl and saw a Grizzly bear with two cubs for the first time. Those two singular events continue to impart a richness in Mark’s life that only adventures truly lived can do.
