Do women attend your training camps?
Yes, women attend our training. Women experience the same positive benefits as men developing outdoor skills. And the fairer sex often excel at the many skills offered. Such as Fire-Craft, animal tracking, and useful and edible plants.
I'm a black person. Do people of color attend your courses?
Yes, people of color attend our courses. Nature is diverse and so are we. We accept all people who wish to increase their knowledge, skill, and enjoyment of the outdoors.
Who are your instructors and qualifications?

No, you do not have to be in great shape to attend First Circle Camp.
If you can walk two miles over uneven ground comfortably without being winded. Your fit enough to attend First Circle.
Our courses are not boot camps, marathons, or long-distance hiking affairs. The amount of effort you do is self-regulated by you. You can work as hard or at the level of physical activity you're most comfortable with.
What kind of shape do I need to be in for advanced camps?
For Advanced Survival Camp and THE EDGE, physical fitness is beneficial for a positive experience.
Do you have standards of behavior?
Yes. A Lifesong camp begins during transport and all students are expected to maintain appropriate standards of behavior. We require students to abstain from all use of alcohol, illegal, and recreational drugs for the duration of the camp. Tobacco smoking is not allowed.
Lifesong instructors and staff have the sole discretion to remove any student from a camp if perceived to be endangering themselves or another student or staff member. A participant will be removed if believed to present a safety concern, medical risk, behavior problem or engage in illegal activity.

Primitive skills or first skills these the foundation of survival skills training.
The benefit of primitive skills adds another set of tools to our survival toolbox. The adage” The more you know the less you carry”. We can rely on our mind and muscle to survive.
